-Coronavirus Statement- (16/3/20)
After reviewing the current situation with the Coronavirus, we have decided this morning that The Rink will close now until an initial date of Wednesday 1st April 2020. After this date we will review the situation on a week to week basis before reopening.
These are challenging times for us all, and despite the fact that at present there is no requirement for us to close, we feel that it is in the best interest of our communities to error on the side of caution and close from today.
We will be contacting all our customers who have upcoming bookings in the coming days to arrange with them their booking and hopefully reschedule.
Rural isolation for older people is one of our charities (Powered By Sports) priorities. Over the coming days we will be developing a charity plan to promote community response to looking after our older people during this time, they will in all likely hood find this time the most challenging.
In the meantime we encourage everyone to consider if they have elderly neighbours who you could reach out to and say we are here beside you and here is our number if you need someone to talk to. The power of community spirit and the comfort of knowing people around you care is the best way we can unite together, dig deep to get through this storm and emerge a more caring society.
