We are currently looking to create a panel of volunteer Rink Stewards to join our team of volunteers on Saturdays.
There are two sessions on Saturdays

  • (Session 1 2:30pm – 4:15pm)
  • (Session 2 4:45pm – 6:15pm)

Your main role will be to monitor the public skating sessions and ensure public safety on the rink. This includes ensuring skating rules are adhered to and followed, helping beginner skaters to find their feet and ensuring the rink is free from obstructions.

Being able to skate would be a bonus but don’t worry it’s not essential!

Training will be provided and a senior officer will always be in attendance.

Applicants must be aged 16 or over (at least YR12) & willing to be accessni registered by Love Hockey Ireland for this role.

We hope to get panel of volunteers for this role, whereby we can put in place a rota which accommodates everyone’s availability.

We are currently looking to create a panel of volunteer Inline Roller Hockey Coaches. Over the year Love Hockey Ireland will operate many different roller hockey sessions with various ages, backgrounds & abilities.

Interested volunteer coaches will be trained in Love Hockey Ireland’s new “Value based coaching” sessions, to enable them to take part in future events.

All coaches who wish to work in Love Hockey Ireland hockey programmes must take part in the Value Based Coaching training.

Applicants must be aged 16 or over (at least YR12) & willing to be accessni registered by Love Hockey Ireland for this role.

No coaching experience is required

Being able to skate would be a bonus but don’t worry it’s not essential!

Previous inline hockey experience is a bonus but don’t worry it’s not essential! Our trianing programme and experienced head coaches will provide you with all you need.

The Fundraising Volunteer will assist the General Manager in the organisation of earning funds to directly support Love Hockey Ireland’s charitable objectives. Adding these much-needed resources will allow Love Hockey Ireland to continue developing their positive local community programmes.

Responsibilities/Duties:

  •  Assist General Manager in planning Love Hockey Ireland fundraising events (1 Large event per year)
  •  Raise awareness about  Love Hockey Ireland and corresponding events in the local community

Qualifications: For those interested in becoming a fundraiser  officer to Love Hockey Ireland’s General Manager, the volunteer must possess creativity, organization skills, and commitment to see the fundraiser through to the end.

Fundraising events are meant to be fun ways to raise awareness and financial support. If speaking
about the organization, the Fundraising Volunteer must be clear about his/her relationship to the organization
and adhere to the predetermined speaking points of Love Hockey Ireland’s charitable objectives.

Orientation/Training: Volunteers receive background training on Love Hockey Ireland direct from our General Manager and will be informed of our 3 year good relations strategy, and longer term hopes and aspirations.

We are currently looking to create a panel of volunteer Rink cleaning staff to join our team of volunteers.

Responsibilities/Duties:

  •  General cleaning of reception area, changing rooms, party rooms, showers, toilets & rink.

Keeping the rink fresh & clean is a vital key to it’s long term success, we are hoping to get a panel of cleaners together who may volunteer their services anywhere from once per week to as often as they are available.

Applicants must be aged 16 or over (at least YR12) & willing to be accessni registered by Love Hockey Ireland for this role.
